Éamonn, who lives in Edinburgh but originally from Ireland (Dublin), learnt his playing from a variety of sources. Even though he is a member of the younger generation of Irish musicians, Éamonn has a highly personal and individual style of banjo playing. In the music scene he has performed and recorded with a vast array of people and has been involved in a number of projects over the years. These include organising events associated purely with the banjo, most recently at Celtic Connections 2001 and Shetland 2001 (e.g. Banjo Extravaganza). |

Russell Hunter grew up in the North East of Scotland. Coming from a musical family, he was surrounded by traditional music from an early age, and had already made a couple of television appearances by the age of twelve. The fact that he is equally at home on fiddle or piano, makes Russell one of the most sought after accompanists on the Scottish scene. |

Simon Bradley (fiddle), Éamonn Coyne (banjo), Russell Hunter (piano) and Kris Drever (guitar & vocals) play music that encompasses a broad spectrum of styles. This music stems from the varied and diverse musical background that each member brings with them to the band. A relatively new band, they bring a fresh swing to the scene. This swing is evident in their recorded work 'Russell's House' and their live performances. The following gives more detail on the members of Russell's House. A click on their instrument plays an appropriate mp3 file (let it download fully first if you have a slow connection). A click on their name leads you to their room in the house. |
